Trying to keep our cat flea free, we got him a bio spot flea collar. It is very persistent on the label (as all the flea product labels do) to warn humans to avoid all contact with the collar, and to wash skin immediately after contact. SO. Understanding the companies need to avoid a law suite from stupid people who might suck on the collar, and trying not to be over cautious, how "dangerous" are they? Can I still pet him and hold him, use the same blanket he sleeps on? I mean, without diving for the soap and water immediately?

we have 2 cats and we want a third. who would have more problems with the new kitten, the dominent cat or the cat who’s second in line?

They are shaking their heads and constantly itching at the site. The emergency vet washed off topical but they are still bugging out several hours later. Has anyone else had this problem with over the counter flea products? What else could I do for them?

My black cat, Shadow (6years) has recently developed these itchy bumps all over his body. I know it is not fleas. My other cat, Shmokey (9 years) doesn’t have a thing wrong with his skin. I have given Shadow a few baths in some really good shampoo for cats. The bumps always heal, but new ones appear soon after. I recently bought this cube like structure designed for cats. My guess is that he is perhaps allergic to the material. He is the only cat that sleeps in it. Any ideas what it could be?

How does long lasting flea medicine ( like Advantage) kill the fleas and their eggs for a month without hurting the dog or cat?
If I haven’t used this on my dog before I wouldn’t have a box that has directions inside.
