Short of Flea bombing, what can I do to get rid of all these fleas in my house?

My cat has already received her first dose of Revolution Flea Killer with IGR, but obviously the fleas are still around in copious amounts.
From what I’ve heard, I basically have to renovate my house to use flea bombs. What other things could I use to kill these tiny beasts? I can’t stand this anymore.
unfourtantly fleas are the bugs from hell.
if you wont flea bomb *which is good because it is harmful for your pet*
go to a local pet store and grab some spray flea killer and get ready to spray everything!
Also a neat little trick i learned is to buy a flea collar and if you dont have a bag vaccum stick the flea collar in the collecting chamber and it will kill the fleas when they enter the vaccum.
A good way to check if your doing a good job on killing your fleas is grab a white sock and rub it on the floor and look if their are any little black dots…those are your fleas.
Now stick with revolution EVERY MONTH! or you will have this problem again!
(wash all your sheets and any other washable surface)
That’s it sorry. its really not bad just get all your pets out before u do it.
Install a couple of electrc ultra-sonic rodent deterrent devices, they worked great on fleas. My house and cat were free of them in about a month or so and they also keeep away spiders and moths etc.
I so know the feeling. I had carpeting all throughout and used a flea killing powder and vacuumed, then i had some spray and used that EVERYWHERE! Like all over the sofas, my closet, bathroom, etc. I had to wash ALL my clothes, and i’m female and have quite a bit of clothing. And good thing i did that because i found so many fleas in between clothing. This was years ago when Frontline was the thing to use so i used frontline on my cat. I was so pissed because i just had new carpeting in that place. I didnt use the Bomb because i had a friend who used that and she said it didnt work.
Sprinkle flea powder on your carpets, leave on for a while, then vacuum, and put a flea collar in your vacuum cleaner bag or cup, and maybe a few in the seats of your chairs, in your couch, and wash the cat bedding with HOT water. I’ve used all of these in the past.
My dad found an intresting way to kill fleas in your house. All you need is a bowl or bucket of water with a little detergent and a light. You just mix a little detergent in the water and place it under a night light on the floor or wherever. The fleas will jump at the light and instantly drown in the water. Its interesting to see all the fleas you can catch.
