How can I prevent my cat from overeating?

We feed both my cats Fancy Feast twice a day (about a tablespoon each time) and they have dry food out all the time. They are indoor cats so they don’t get much exercise. My kitten is 10 months old and I am afraid she is becoming overweight. My older cat who is 5 years old is losing weight, which the vet says could be worms or a viral thing, shes being treated for those in case thats what it is, but most likely its due to stress.
Any suggestions on how I can prevent my kitten from overeating, without denying my other cat food?

on my Christian family home? They already has a stray cat they adopted (does not have a name), and now they have another cat started to come around. They were talking about shooing him/her off with a BB gun. I jokingly said they should and they told me they have talked about it! I doubt they will hurt this poor cat, but I see their point, they do not want another cat, and this cat is eating away their cat food.

I have a young female cat that has a very sensitive stomach, so it is hard to find a consistent cat food that she will eat. She will try all the brands I have gotten, but if she throws it up she wont eat it any more. She has no trouble with wet food though, but I have 4 other cats and would like to keep the kinds of food I get to 2 kinds(dry that is), that I can keep out all day and I know that they will all be able to eat it.

How are cat treats different than dry cat food?

What would make them different? Same size, same flavors (Chicken Delight, Ocean Fish, Whisker-Lickin’ Tuna), same texture…

My cat acts like it’s Christmas when I open the Feline Greenies bag, though.

Does he just *think* it’s something better because he gets it less frequently than the cat food, which is available regularly? Or is it really different?

My cat, who is 18 years old, has recently developed quite the sensitive stomach. He has an upset tummy nearly every day, & I think it’s probably his food. I’m trying to find one that fits all 3 qualifications, but I can’t seem to find a cat food for senior and sensitive stomach. He’s been eating Iams indoor senior formula, and I’m considering switching him to Nutro Senior, because it says it’s easy to digest. Has anyone else used Nutro, or have any suggestions for a good brand of senior sensitive stomach food?
