I applied advantage on my 15 lbs cat, and this time it didnt work. I just looked in his fur and found a huge live flea. This thing was a monster, not a baby flea. The advantage was put on 2 weeks ago. My cats badly allergic to fleas.

Should I give him another dose?

I know that you can give ADVANTAGE flea medication (for a dog) to a cat, but in a smaller dose as the ingredients are the same. I am UNSURE about giving BIO SPOT, as it says on the box – not for use on cats – is this a ‘marketing ploy’?

We applied Promeris flea treatment to the back of my cats neck last night. Nows its almost 2 PM the next day, and I still see a few fleas on my cat. They are just jumping around like there is no problem. How long does it take for the flea treatment to start working? I paid a lot of money for that Promeris.

Has anyone first hand experience with both of these brand names that could give me some advice as to success and/or failures of either. Also which, in your opinion, works better on small cats under 9 lbs. Thank you!!
