I used Adams Spot On Flea & Tick Control (5lbs and over), and it looks to be quite irritated in the area I treated him. We have always used either frontline or revolution, but my mom decided to get this stuff. I plan on calling the vet first thing in the morning, but is there anything I can do in the meantime?

Right now, my two cats (indoor/outdoor, but are indoor most of the time) use Revolution. It’s SO expensive. Does anyone have any experience with Frontline or any of the other ones out there? Do any of the other prescription ones protect against the same things as Revolution does (ticks, heartworms, etc.) or do they treat fleas only? What do you use on your cat(s) and would you recommend it strongly?

I’ve had my oldest cat for about 9 months, and ever since I got him, he’s had fleas. I’ve tried the back of the neck medicine, but it didn’t work. I got a new kitten the other day, and when I brought her home, she didn’t have fleas and now she does. I need a cheap flea medicine because I can’t afford Frontline or Advantage. Does anyone know a good OTC flea treatment or at least something under 50 dollars?
Thanks so much.

My three cats have suddenly been invaded by fleas. They were treated with Frontline plus 2 weeks ago, when the fleas came back a few days ago we treated them again. The fleas dont appear to be even slowing down/dying once they are on the cats. If I buy advantage or revolution will it hurt the cats to put it on again so soon? I am going to flea bomb the house but want to help my babies in the meantime

My cat has fleas. I am so worried about him. He is an indoor only cat, and somehow got fleas.
We tried Frontline. He had a life-threatening reaction to it, as well as ALL the other liquid flea treatments that you put on the back of their necks.
We tried a flea collar and he had a reaction to that too. The only thing he has not had a reaction to is the Flea Shampoo, but that doesn’t even work.
I give him a flea bath every week and vacuum/dust/clean the house top to bottom.
His flea bites have gotten so bad that we had to put him on antibiotics. He is not eating now.
We have spent hundreds of dollars on flea treatments. Our cat means a lot to us, for personal family reasons. What can we do to help with his flea problem?
