I have 2 dogs, an american bulldog and a cocker spaniel. We were using the cheap flea stuff from walmart, and sure enough they got fleas! So we decided not to be cheap anymore and get them on front line, before the front line we immediately used the flea dip from the vet, I can’t remember the name of the medicine, but it was in a white bottle with green writing. And after that we got them on front line plus.
its been a week, and every time i comb them I still see little fleas jumping around on them and found a few in the bed! I thought the front line and the dip was supposed to kill the fleas, now I don’t know what to do. I want to go get some carpet spray tonight and some good flea dip for the animals. I am also planning on washing all the sheets and blankets.
my mother also have me an idea to tie all ll my sons stuffed animals and the pillows in a trash bag and tie it so they suffocate. is there anyone out there with a recommendation on what to use to rid my poor dogs and my house of these nasty little things.
Ps i am very disappointed with Frontline Plus right now.

I’ve heard K9 Advantix, Advantage, Frontline Plus, Revolution… Many to choose from. I am looking for something safe and the best quality. My dogs have never had a flea problem, but we’ve moved and now that the colder months are setting in, it seems the fleas are trying to find themselves a home before the winter comes. I heard Revolution will break the cycle of fleas after 3 months, killing all stages. Does the others do the same?
They are both 80pd dogs. Chesapeake Bay Retrievers/Lab Mix.

I know frontline and advantage are the best but, they are quite pricey. I was looking at flea control products at Wal-mart and they have drops similar to frontline and advantage. I am beginning to see fleas on my babies and can’t quite afford frontline this week. Will a cheaper flea control such as this work for a couple of weeks until I can afford the frontline? Also, how long will a flea bath keep the fleas away?

We have had fleas for three weeks. We administered frontline, which I am not all that pleased with to be honest at the beginning of July. We have been vacuuming and cleaning like nuts just like they say. We used a spray with Nylar about three weeks back too and we put down borax. The borax is causing problems for me and I am probably going to have to rent a cleaner for the carpet. My one kitten is still itching and I think they still have some but not as bad. We are hopefully getting them into the vet tomorrow. What is the best flea preventative other than frontline? Also, I am looking for a spray for the house. I cannot use any more powder products as they are hard on my lungs. I have heard of Ortho Home Defense. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks so much….

My dog and three cats got fleas recently and I am trying to figure out which products are best for us. I’ve heard so much about Frontline, but both good and bad. I’ve also heard good and bad about Adams flea products. Will the "Spot control" that goes between their shoulders make them sick if they lick it or eachother? I have no clue how any of the stuff really works.
Do Adams flea products work as good as they claim?
Extra info: My dog is short haired and easily bathed. One of my cats is long haired, one is short haired, but has VERY thick fur and the other is tiny and has kinda long hair. That in between, if you will. Please help!
