How do you keep a cat from attacking a puppy?

I have a 5 and a half week old puppy, a 3 year old dog and a year old cat. The older dog and the cat get along OK but the cat wants to "play" with the puppy by attacking her. He grabs her and kicks with his back claws. We had his front claws taken out (He is strictly an indoor cat, I am allergic to his claws), but the vet refused to remove the back claws. I have been scolding the cat for playing with the puppy this way and the puppy even does her little growl at him. Does any one have any suggestions?

How do I get my cat to stop killing birds?

I have a cat that keeps getting outside even though we try not to let her out. The problem is that our cat likes to hunt birds. We have two cats and our outdoor cat is fine. But our indoor cat seems to feel she has to leave presents for us at our front doorstep. This morning, I had to dispose of 3 more dead birds.

With my work schedule, I’m not home much, and I’m sick and tired of cleaning up dead birds on my front doorstep. She doesn’t even eat them, she’s just killing them!

Anyone else get their cat to stop this behavior?
When you have your hands full of items when you go in and out of the house, it’s not always possible to grab a small cat that can run between your legs.

My cat is an indoors cat. I bought him when he was a baby and was already an indoor cat, and I don’t seeing him being an outdoor cat. What do you think?

I can get a cat. But I need help. I need to find a cat that will be best for the cat I already have. My cat I have now is 16 months old, indoor cat, no cat buddies yet, male, and fixed. Which cat would he best get along with and what would just be a good match? Cat or Kitten? Male or female? Indoor or outdoor? Help!
My cat I also got from the pound. He got along with those cats fine!

I currently have a 2 year old female cat. I have got a new 4 month old female cat today. How do I introduce them best?

My current Cat does not go out side. She is an indoor cat. She has come into contact with other cats before (at old home she went outside) She just hissed at them and the other cat would tend to leave her alone.

So what is the best way to introduce the new cat to Fluff?
