How many people try and save money by purchasing over the counter, store bought flea control?

How many people know that it is poison and can harm or kill your pets?

How many people know you can not put a dogs dosages on a cat or kitten?

How many people know that the medication is absorb into the skin and works from inside the body and gets in the blood stream?

Is it easier to get something cheap and hope it works and it doesn’t harm your pet?

Or, do most pet owners just don’t know about the problems with store bought flea control?

Yes I do know the difference and would never get an over the counter flea control. I have hear horror stories about them and know of cats being poisoned and died from them. And if you google it you can read about it.

What’s the cheapest kind of flea stuff you can get and how much does it cost monthly?

My dog gets fleas every summer and this time its pretty bad. I can’t stand to see her suffer (shes scratching constantly) …. My mom keeps putting it off cause shes tight on money right now but i dont give a shit she should have though about that before getting a dog.

ANYWAYS! How much would flea stuff cost MONTHLY and whats the cheapest kind?

Please give cat anti-flea Rx product names that are also cheap/liver-safe/green/actually work/are worth the money and why in addition to any sources you can that support your answer. Any answers from practicing Vets are extra welcome.

my daughter accidentally put our cat flea treatment on our dog and than latter that day i noticed him
biting his legs (where she had put it) than the next day(today) he was throwing up and wouldent eat or drink i asked my daughter if she put anything on him she said yes.I asked her what she said flea powder i asked her where this flea powder is she showed me the cat flea powder now i dont know what to do and i dont have any!money to take him to the vet i need help!

We applied Promeris flea treatment to the back of my cats neck last night. Nows its almost 2 PM the next day, and I still see a few fleas on my cat. They are just jumping around like there is no problem. How long does it take for the flea treatment to start working? I paid a lot of money for that Promeris.
